Ca’ Rezzonico is a marvellous palace on the Grand Canal, opposite to Palazzo Grassi and therefore not far from Locanda Fiorita. Ca’ Rezzonico is home of the Museum of the 18th-century Venice, and it just started an interesting series of exhibitions dedicated to an artistic movement which knew big success all over Europe during the XVIII century: the Landscape Painting, of which the most prominent figures were Venetian artits uch as Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto, Bernardo Bellotti, Francesco Guardi. “Archives of the Landscape Painting” is the title of this event and the first exhibition is dedicated to Pietro Bellotti, younger brother of Bernardo and nephew of Canaletto. 45 works mostly coming from European museums will be on diplay at Ca’ Rezzonico from 7 December 2013 to 28 April 2014.
