Exhibition from Kandinsky to Botero, Tapestry at Palazzo Zaguri
Inaugurated on November 1 in the halls of the near Palazzo Zaguri in Campo San Maurizio, 5 minutes walk from Locanda Fiorita, a unique exhibition, never seen in the world: “From Kandinsky to Botero. All in a Thread”.
No exhibition has ever displayed in fact works of the most famous contemporary artists transposed in “arazzi”, tapestries rigorously handmade, mainly from the collection of Ugo Scassa, founder of one of the last and most important Italian ‘arazzerie’ in the sixties.
Kandinsky, Wahrol, Matisse, De Chirico, Klee, Mastroianni, Botero, Miro, even Renzo Piano, some of their masterpieces have been reproduced in tapestries that will remain on exhibition at Palazzo Zaguri until May 31, 2019.
